Dock Replacement — Part IX

Almost done! On Thursday, the contractor will install the ramp. On Friday, workers will add metal-coated black wiring to pier rails and add handrails. They also will finish off the pilings with black cone-shaped tops that will keep birds from landing and or nesting there. The new dock could be completed this weekend.

Dock Replacement — Part V

The materials used on the new dock should give the community an asset that will last many, many years.
  • The pilings are galvanized steel.
  • The grating is heavy-duty fiberglass, which is very strong, corrosion-resistant, fire-retardant, low maintenance, slip-resistant, and long-lasting.
  • Wood is pressure-treated wood.
