Joe Feuerstein Passes Away

Joe and Neomi were members of the Shorehill Community for many years. Joe devoted many hours serving as President and active board member. He was a wonderful man. Those who were fortunate to know him will miss him greatly!

Joseph W. Feuerstein of Belfair, WA, passed away Dec. 21, 2010. Unfortunately, his health had deteriorated since surgery in Nov. 2009. He was born to William and Christine Feuerstein in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from LaSalle College, with a BS in Industrial Management; Trenton Jr. College and Seattle University in Electrical Engineering. He was a veteran of USAF National Guard. He had a long career in Boeing Aircraft Company, 35 years, as program planning and control manager.

Joe loved to travel, play golf and enjoy many friends in Rancho Casa Blanca (RV Park) in Indio, CA. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus for many years while attending St. Francis Catholic Church in Burien and later, Prince of Peace Parish in Belfair. He spent his summers in Victor, WA.

Joseph married his first wife, Eleanor Huffman, (now deceased) and raised five boys: Gary (deceased), Joe Jr., Tim, Bud, and Jeff. He is survived by current wife Neomi Nelson, whom he married in 1992 and became stepfather to Tina (deceased), Lori, Nick, and Sandy; grandfather to 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; He is also survived by sister Ruth Finn, New Orleans, LA

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Burien WA.Read more:
