FALL CLEAN UP & COMMUNITY MEETING CANCELLED DUE TO COVID19

WOW!  We are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

We hope you are all doing well and enjoying the amazing summer weather.   We have made the decision to cancel our Fall Community Clean Up and Community Meeting in order to ensure we are doing everything we can to avoid the spreading of COVID 19.

Good news is that you will receive credit off your membership dues as you did in the Spring.  In an effort to keep the community maintenance up-to-date we are requesting that you do what you can as a family to cut the vegetation around your property, clean any ditches and take it upon yourselves to do any maintenance you see that needs attention.

During the first eight months of this year we have also hired some of the larger projects out such as the staining and minor repairs to the dock and piers and doing a portion of the weed-eating, beach maintenance and clearing of vegetation in the entry of the community.  We have also replaced an aging pump in our water system.  If you have recommendations of other projects please let us know.  We intend to have Tim at Lakeshore (who built our dock and piers) give us a bid on doing some additional work on the finger piers within the next few months.

We will also be emailing/mailing out financial reports for your reference within the next couple of weeks.  If you have any questions at all please call or email me.

While we are not meeting as we have the in past, there is additional work happening behind the scenes.  Pete and Dana have done an amazing job developing a data base of information related to our water system and have thereby been able to track down several leaks and advise property owners.   Judy and Karen have continued to ensure dues are collected and the community continues to be updated and informed. Thanks to all our board members for all they do throughout the year.

We welcome Jesse who purchased property on Marine View Drive this summer.    Glad to have you as a member of our community.

Unfortunately our long-time community member Gary Budd passed away this year.   Many of us remember all the years of Gary pulling the docks out for the winter and his amazingly creative art work that brightened up the waterfront.   Treasured memories.   He will be missed.

Judy will be sending out an updating community list to everyone.

If you have anything you'd like to post on the blog please let me know.   It gives us a great way to stay connected, share information and preserve some of our community history.

We look forward to 2021 and hopefully seeing you all in the May.  In the meantime please do all you can to stay safe and healthy and close to those you love.

With Gratitude

Gayle Robbins, President
