Over the past few years we have experienced significant financial impact due to two major floods and the need to repave our roads, replace our docks and maintain our water system. While we as a community have thus far been able to come together to meet the challenges through assessments, we have recognized for quite some time that our financial infrastructure must be updated to provide a more appropriate base to meet the current maintenance and growth needs of our community.
At the spring community meeting the board presented our proposal for increasing dues to begin to bring our finances in line with our needs. Our hope is that by doing this it will also minimize the need for assessments.

PS - The permit package (county permit, SEPA and JARPA permits) for replacing our pier and docks has been submitted to all the appropriate entities. We anticipate hearing something back by the end of July. As we hear more we will let you know.

____ I vote YES to increase dues to $400.00 per year beginning with the
November 2011 billing which is for 2012 dues. Credit will still be given for those who work at community work parties and to those 65 years and older. ($50.00 for each work party and to those 65 years and older regardless of whether they work). This increase will help us to build a more realistic financial infrastructure able to support maintenance as well as
unexpected crises situations for the community.
